Volunteering

A typical day

Mornings:

Mornings are broken down into multiple jobs and typically start at 7am. 

​

cleaning of enclosures - removal of any bowls of raw from the previous night, poop scooping, fresh blankets and replacing shavings etc. and deep cleans of the enclosures.

​

feeding - feeding all of the ferrets who require a raw diet only; mums, babies, ferret who don't eat kibble. top up of kibble and water.

​

Medication administration - medication given to any of our long term sick residence and those who require standard medications.

​

vet run - This is anyone who is in for neutering or surgeries - typically vet runs are from 8am.

​

Lunch time:

medication administration - any medication  for those who require.

​

feeding - feeding ferrets who require any extra meal times e.g skinny ferrets, pregnant jills, mums and babies.

​

this is when we typically do all of the socialisation of the ferrets. 

​

Afternoon/Evening:

​

feeding - feeding of raw to all ferrets who eat it. top up of all kibble and waters.

​

vet run - pick up of any ferrets that have been to the vets all day.

​

medication administration - medication given to any of our long term sick residence and those who require standard medications.

​

cleaning of any that require - this includes poop scooping, fresh blankets and replacing shavings etc.

​
